Our Approach to Recruiting for Jobs in Education Technology

Once a candidate is engaged our Talent Engagement Specialists initiates our chronological and behavioral-based interview programs. Through each of the steps our goal is to gain a comprehensive understanding of the individual’s EdTech career, their performance, and their motivations.

Chronological Interview

Our chronological interview is designed to uncover detailed facts on a candidate’s EdTech career including their employment history, and their performance activity. This step in our evaluation process consists of qualifying questions specific to our partner’s requirements, and a detailed evaluation of a candidate’s job history.

Behavioral-Based Interviewing

Our second stage of interviews is conducted in a behavioral-based interviewing manner. The basis of behavioral-based interviews is that the most logical predictor of someone’s future performance is past performance in similar situations.

Search Managers at TRN always conduct behavioral-based interviews with candidates either via video conferencing or in-person. This face-to-face approach is non-negotiable on behalf of our clients. It provides us, and ultimately our clients, with a holistic understanding of a candidate’s past performance including circumstantial responsiveness, principle applications to specific past circumstances, learning ability, and motivations. This phase of interviewing also enables our EdTech recruiters to challenge any discrepancies on a candidate’s profile and test important traits like culture fit, internal drive, cognitive skillset, client- abilities.

Once a candidate has moved forward in the process a member of our Executive Team evaluates each candidate before they are presented to a partner. Our goal is to provide maximum efficiency without compromising on quality.
