Featured Education Placement: Vice President of Housing for Pine Street Inn

The Renaissance Network is excited to announce the placement of Christi Staples as Vice President of Housing for Pine Street Inn, the largest homeless services provider in New England. Pine Street Inn tirelessly advocates for collaborative solutions to end homelessness; they provide street outreach, emergency services, supportive housing, job training, and connections to employment. 

At Pine Street Inn, Christi will provide leadership, strategic direction, and planning for Pine Street Inn’s growing portfolio of permanent supportive housing, as well as real estate development subsidies. She will ensure the housing programs utilize a Housing First, Harm Reduction, and Trauma-Informed care approach to service delivery and oversee the extensive Housing Compliance, Leasing, and Quality Improvement divisions.

Christi is known for shaping programs, policy, and practice through research, data, and connections to create and execute ideas and solutions to help others reach their full potential. Most recently, Christi served as the Senior Vice President, Policy and Government Relations for United Way, Massachusetts Bay, where she implemented strategic activities to achieve public policy goals established by United Way’s leadership and Board of Directors. Previously, as Regional Director for CSH, New England, she crafted the strategic vision for a regional housing and services portfolio focused on vulnerable populations. 

Christi earned a Master of Social Work, Policy and Advocacy at the University of Connecticut and a Bachelor of Science in Human Development from Wheelock College.

Pine Street Inn

Pine Street Inn began its journey in 1969, offering a safe alternative to the streets of Boston to approximately 200 men suffering from alcoholism. Since then, their comprehensive programs and services have expanded to include housing, emergency services, and workforce development to support more than 2,000 individuals each day. 

The work of Pine Street Inn is carried out by nearly 700 employees who uphold the values of community, teamwork, accountability, and respect, committed to meeting their mission of ending homelessness.
